Associació Educativa Europea Barcelona (EducativaBCN) is a registered non-profit teacher’s association of Barcelona (official association registry ID 61806), appointed by Departament d’Educació de la Generalitat de Catalunya (educational authority) as official in-service teacher training provider (ID 5345), volunteering to provide support to schools/educational organisations and teachers since 2017. We focus on inclusion of refugees.
Meet our pedagogical team
Leonardo Portaña
Leonardo is a veteran secondary school teacher from Barcelona and certified teacher trainer by Departament d’educació de la Generalitat de Catalunya featuring over 20 years of classroom experience. He is a Computering and Electronic Industrial Engineer holding a master’s degree in education. He is passionate about helping teachers to use high end digital technology, virtual/augmented reality applied to education and robotics into their everyday. Leonardo is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian.
Annamaria Pérez-Moral
Anna is high school teacher from Barcelona and certified teacher trainer by Generalitat of Catalonia with over 10 years of classroom experience and 8 as teacher trainer. She was appointed as advisor officer on Generalitat of Catalonia EU Programme Service Unit and later in the Learning Technologies and Educational Research Unit, designing and delivering online and onsite in-service training for teachers. Anna was also in charge of the writing and international coordination of Erasmus+ projects for regional cooperation (one of them in partnership with European Schoolnet and different regional authorities, awarded as EU good practice). Anna was also regional referent of the Spanish national eTwinning support service in Catalonia, and is active as writer and international coordinator of different EU funded projects. She holds two European good practice and one success story awards as international coordinator.
Her professional background is University graduate on Design, holding a master’s degree in education. External expert of SDG EU Commission Digital Education Content Task&Finish Force on Teacher & Learner Agency, and EU funded project evaluation. Former national eTwinning and Future Classroom Lab Ambassador.
Anna loves to share her experience and creativity with her teacher fellows. She is fluent in Spanish, English, French and Italian.
Lidija Krajl
Lidija is a Croatian Education Analyst & Adviser, leader of the AI in Education squad for European Digital Education Hub at European Commission, Council of Europe, UNESCO expert in data & AI in education, and also eTwinning national Ambassador. Project leader for reforms in education, Mathematics and Computer Science teacher always happy to learn more. Lidija is fluent in Croatian. Slovenian and English.
Oyvin Kyvik
Norwegian experienced lecturer, researcher (PhD in Managagerial Sciences) and project manager, CEO of Cognition Matters Management SL. Expert in EU project evaluation and coordination. Oyvin’s international expertise in capacity building of leadership in the corporate field makes him a great mentor for school leaders and head teachers. He is fluent in Norwegian, English and Spanish.
Jordi Vivancos Martí
Member of the Board of the Catalan Society of Pedagogy from Barcelona. Former Head of Learning Technologies Unit, Generalitat of Catalonia (2007-2019). EdTech senior adviser with more than 35 years of experience in the field of educational technology. Teacher trainer, researcher, and lecturer on innovation and digital technologies in education. He has participated in the deployment of Digital Competences at regional level and coordinated in-service teacher training in that field.
Organiser of international Conferences, workshops and Study visits, within the framework of Socrates and Erasmus programs. He has been involved in different European Projects in the field of Digital Technologies and Education in partnership with the European Schoolnet.Jordi is fluent in Catalan, Spanish, English and French.
José Manuel Pérez
Veteran adult education trainer from Catalonia (Spain) featuring more than 20 years as driving school teacher and director. He has a degree as Driving School Director, training mostly international students, in many cases refugees and migrants. José is passionate about inclusion, linking theory lessons with hands-on, everyday practice related to labour market. He is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
Oleksandr
Teacher student with a love for latest technologies like artificial intelligence applied to classrooms. Oleksandr is a trainee supporting project management and teacher training planning that focus inclusion of refugees and migrants, and digital skills. Despite Oleksandr youth, his contribution to our pedagogical team is key: he provides first hand experience, young, fresh, up to date insights and feedback. Oleksandr is fluent in Ukrainian, Spanish and English.

We volunteer to support public schools/VET/adult education organisations from disadvantaged backgrounds and also to charitable organisations helping refugees and/or handicapped, underprivileged individuals with free consultancy and expertise. Our contribution helps them to benefit from opportunities offered by European institutions.

Our training team are pedagogical advisors, teacher students and front line veteran teachers holding official in-service training qualifications, eTwinning and Future Classroom Lab national ambassadors. They feature huge, awarded expertise in Erasmus+ project management.

Non-profit transparency regulations
EducativaBCN fulfills the transparency obligations of associations and foundations in Catalonia. They are established in two laws: Law 19/2014, of 29 December, on transparency, access to public information and good governance, and Law 21/2014, of 29 December. , of the protectorate of the foundations and of verification of the activity of the associations declared of public utility.
Thus, the Transparency Law determines the transparency obligations of the entities due to the public origin of the money they manage, and the Protectorate Law, developed by Order JUS / 152/2018, of 12 September, which establishes the obligations due to the fact that they are entities with purposes of general interest, which distinguishes them from other private entities with particular interests.
Our Mission
EducativaBCN aims to encourage educational creativity as driver of innovation. Our goal is to help and inspire teachers and schools to develop their european dimension, facilitating to network with similar professionals and organisations from Erasmus+ programme partner countries. Our blog gathers member’s insights about digital challenges in education.
This is the reason why we support them to write successful applications and to provide top training, eligible for Erasmus+ KA1 action. Training offered to foreign teachers, and also participation in funded EU projects, mostly Erasmus+, helps to establish new networks, improve our skills with new perspectives and also raising funding to support our charitable activities.
